Choosing which organization that deserves your hard-earned money can be difficult. Sometimes decisions are made spontaneously, sometimes you might research the organization. CrisisinIsrael site is meant as a tool to assist you in choosing the organization and project that suits your taste. Think of the site as a portal for non-profits.

From the menu on the left-hand side, choose an area that you would like to explore. Each organization listed has information on their purpose and projects. The links on eah page will take you to their website where you can learn more.

CrisisinIsrael does not take donations and does not charge any organization to be listed on the site. That way, all of your money goes straight to the organization.

This website started during the Second Lebanon War as a means of connecting people in need with those having the resources to help them. The list grew to about 50 pages by the end of the war. During the fighting in Gaza in 2008, we changed the site to help communities affected by the fighting. Today, the site is meant as a resource for anyone looking foran organization to support.

Enav – Encouragement for Youth in Distress was founded in 1995 with the aim of providing educational and rehabilitative frameworks for Israel's most severe cases of youth in distress.

Enav works in close cooperation with the Israeli Welfare Ministry's Youth Protection Authority, who refers and partially funds our care and services to our teen residents who are typically involved with problems of crime, addiction, and homelessness. Enav's 11 small-group hostel residential centers across Israel provide 150 youth aged 12-18 with education and therapeutic care specific to their needs. We own and run seven boys' hostels and four girls' hostels across the country, each with its own special atmosphere and focus. Only 4% of our costs are administrative.
